(Bradenton, Fla., Feb. 19, 2019) — The American Chemical Society student affiliate club at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) continued its alumni speaker series on Feb. 7 as Dr. Brent Hudson shared his path to becoming a chiropractic physician and college professor. Hudson has spent the last 30 years practicing locally as a physician, specializing in wellness and nutrition.
Hudson was born at Manatee Memorial Hospital and attended Manatee Junior College (now SCF), where he earned an A.A. degree in 1983. He completed his pre-med studies at USF Tampa, then entered graduate school in Chicago at the National University of the Health Sciences, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree.
As a student at MJC, Hudson’s passion for health knowledge was inspired by his professors of physics, chemistry and anatomy/physiology. Five years ago, he extended his passion by obtaining a master’s degree in Anatomy & Physiology Instruction, which prepared him to teach about health and the human body.
Now, Hudson shares his enthusiasm by giving wellness lectures around the country and teaching at SCF as an anatomy and physiology instructor, where he hopes to inspire students about the amazing machine that is the human body.
