Alumni Notes

Marianne Barnebey is a dedicated public servant  who is currently serving a fifth term as the Ward Two Councilwoman for the City of Bradenton. Marianne previously served in this position for four consecutive terms between 1998 and 2012. SRQ Magazine has recognized her as “one of Bradenton’s Outstanding Elected Officials.” Marianne is also a former board member and chair of ArtCenter Manatee and a past board member of the Service Club of Manatee County

Desiree Chubb is an SCF Outstanding Graduate Award Finalist and recipient of the Biotechnology Student of the Year Award. She is also a former member of the SCF chapter of Phi Theta Kappa. Desiree earned her position as a quality assurance manager for 3 Daughters Brewing in St. Petersburg, FL after completing an internship at the company. She is currently the Director of Quality, Chemical Hygiene and Safety. In addition to SCF and the SCF Foundation, Desiree volunteers her time and talents to non-profit organizations such as Making Strides for Breast Cancer, Mothers Helping Mothers, Girl Scouts of America and Hands Across the Sand.
