(Bradenton, Fla., Mar. 12, 2019) — The American Chemical Society student affiliate club at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF) continues its alumni speaker series at 7 p.m. Mar. 28 at SCF Bradenton, 5840 26th St. W., Building 29, Room 106 as Anme Bass shares her path to becoming a pharmacist after 10 years of performing and teaching ballet. The event is free and open to the public with no reservation required.
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Bass graduated as a classical soloist dancer at the Escuela de Ballet Teatro Teresa Carreño. She performed with Ballet Nacional de Caracas and Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas and the Sarasota Ballet of Florida as a soloist performer. After six seasons, she retired but continued teaching advanced dance students.
In 2008, Bass earned her Associates in Arts degree from SCF, where she was named Outstanding Student in Organic Chemistry for her academic accomplishments and her contributions as the Chemistry Club President.
Bass entered the College of Pharmacy at Nova Southeastern University in 2015. She currently is a licensed Pharmacy intern, finishing her advance pharmacy practice experience and last year of the PharmD program in the Tampa Bay area.
